"this was sony's fault for not publishing this game exclusively"
Nobody expected this game to be as popular as it is. Just look at the news stories saying that it has sold triple what Atlus expected. I'm sure most publishers would have looked at that game and said "That's never going to sell, we're not going to publish it."
The user agreement says that the servers were only guaranteed to be up for six months after launch, but they have been extending it because the game has been far more popular than they expected it to be. I haven't played in a while, but if it says they will shut down in 2012, that is just their latest in a series of cutoff dates. They have said that they will keep the servers running as long as people are playing.
Even if they shut the servers down, it's worth playi...
The article says that it is "seemingly" in response to a lawsuit that Microsoft filed against Motorola for charging "royalties that are excessive and discriminatory".
Who knows why these companies do what they do? There are always lawsuits like this going on between corporations and they almost always get settled in a way that never affects consumers in any way. "Move along. Nothing to see here."
Toys R Us also has an bundle exclusive to them that is like the Move starter bundle, but has Eyepet instead of Sports Champions.
A friend of mine once told me this quote: "Never argue with an idiot. They'll only drag you down to their level and beat you with experience." I wish I knew who said that originally so that I could give proper credit.
This isn't a permanent discount, it's a sale. Deal of the day is usually a really good deal. That said, I still wouldn't pay that much for this game based on what I've seen of it.
Sometimes what's right isn't always clear or agreed upon.
"What's the point of controlling Ethan in this scene? You can't stop the accident. Nothing you do has any effect on the rest of the game."
That's the point. Not everything you do in life will affect the outcome. We all do things everyday that will forever be forgotten thirty seconds later. We have no way of knowing what things will affect, though, and that is the thing that Heavy Rain is getting across.
...forget it. At this point, t...
Valkyria Chronicles 3
Just so i can know that some person out there will go up to his friend and proudly declare "Hey, I beat 'Off' last night!"
Edit: perhaps that person would even talk about how great the climax was.
This is probably just a camera angle change to show Sully saving Drake while Drake is climbing up. As I recall, UC2 had quite a few places where the camera angle would change mid-gameplay.
In b4 "Killzone sucks, nobody plays it anymore, and it's on PoS3"
Ooh, I can do it too!
The first Gears of War came out a year after the 360 did. However, the first ever image that I saw of what is now current generation was a brumak (i hope i spelled that right) from Gears of War in EGM.
Take a look at the top ten selling games for each system rather than just the top two.
For PS3 five of the top ten are shooters, with four of those being FPS. The other shooter is Uncharted 2.
For 360, NINE of them are shooters, with seven of those being FPS. The other two shooters are Gears of War 1 & 2.
If you remove Call of Duty and Halo, and then look at the resulting top ten, the two consoles have very similar software sales number...
Sully was may "heroes" skin for U2's competitive mode. Until I got access to Francis Drake, that is.
I want the developer to have full freedom to create the best experience possible. If you have to make every level of the game co-op compatible, that puts a restriction on you. Just for an example, co-op means you can't have a level where your character is isolated and alone.
I have nothing against co-op and hope to see them expand upon what was in U2, but please please please make your first priority be making a phenomenal game.
Are those only available at Halloween?
This article, specifically its title, is an example of why nobody respects video game journalism. Headlines that just plain make stuff up. This isn't even taking a quote out of context, it's making up context for the quote.
Yeah, Uncharted 3. It was a joke, but i guess I could have made that more clear.
The game is very demanding. It's a different experience that requires patience and a very slow, deliberate play style. There are literally places where, if you are running, you won't see the ledge that you fall off of to your death (e.g. 3-1). For a lot of people that's not fun. For those of us who enjoy it, though, Demon's Souls is pure gold.
